I'm not one to comment but basically you watched Hockey Night Live! Any average fan could post the same garbage you post after games or when a player is signing autographs at the team store. Your lucky you kiss ass and blog for the isles, i would love to see u last blogging for a team in canada! Such a hack! Just give up ur press pass to the fans who know the game and would enjoy doing the job. Thank god for Dan stepping up and giving us real info! PS.... Stay in the kitchen!

I have no problem with the way Dee reports about the Islanders. There's nothing wrong with a fans perspective. If I want expert analysis, I'll turn on MSG+ and watch the talking heads there. Sometimes, a fans perspective is what is needed, to get by all of the coaches and players talking points. Keep writing Dee, I always take a look, eventhough I'm a Leafs supporter.

On the Islanders, your team appears to need a coaching shakeup. You have the talent, but need a fresh perspective, to channel the talents of many on this club. I think Garth Snow screwed up the chemistry on this team, when he traded for Thomas Vanek, losing Matt Moullson, a character guy. You should be looking to grab someone like James Riemer, from the Leafs, not an older goaltender. Riemer falls into the same age group as your core stars and would be a good fit there. Leafs need help at center right now.

Nabby going down is the best thing that could happen to this team.

Hope he's fine, but I hope he's out for a long time.

I agree on the trade even though I think when Vanek is healthy he'll do well...I'd take Riemer...did well in the playoffs until the 3rd period in Game 7 versus the Bruins...even though it wasn't his fault...

Exactly... Poulin runs with it now... If he's not up to it, then Nilsson gets a shot or Snow HAS to make a move to salvage the season.

Said the same thing. It sucks when your GM and coach have to be forced into making a smart decision but that's the reality that we live in as islander fans.

I have always supported Dee writing about my favorite franchise, even after all the heat the fans on here gave her. However, when she made a rude comment about how awful the vanek trade is simply because of a freak injury, i got really frustrated with her. I told her it was immature and not fair to say something along those lines (she said the EXACT same thing when Nash got a concussion). They were both such SMUG comments it really bothered me. After I told her it was immature to say that about vanek...her only response to me was "Byte me."

I've finally come to my senses that she is in fact a poor blogger and im unwilling to support her after saying something like that to me. Its just flat out disrespectful and immature. Now I finally see why so many Isles fans on here were fed up with her one sided attitude.

All the Dee hatred on here is just dumb. If you don't like her blogs don't read them.. period. At the very least she gave us a forum to rant and vent when this team does something stupid, frustrating, etc. She is not a professional reporter nor is she getting paid for any of this... She is a fan (and a nice person).

That is a VERY valid point.. .but our GM's hesitant ways has also kept many players over the years you and other fans wanted gone when they struggled.... (Baily, Okposo, etc.).

- Amack has been horrific by the way. You were certainly right on him.. ugh.

I agree with this statement a little, but I don't see Moulson as a "character guy". I see him as a goal scorer. Some on here called him a "garbage man" or a "garbage goals" guy. I have been beyond frustrated watching Isles since this trade going back to the team with very few people who go to the front of the net (ala Commau, Schremp, tambellini, skolinski, green, Kvasha, Macinnis, etc. etc. etc.). Moulson always went to the front of the net.. (so does JT).. I will be happier with this trade when I see Brock, Vanek, etc... stop in front instead of skating around the net.
